Siege Weapons
Siege weapons are placed to destroy enemy fortifications, defend strategic points, and kill enemy players.
Obtaining Siege Weapon
To craft a siege weapon and its ammunition, you must unlock the “Warsmithing” and “Fletching” profession skills in blacksmithing.
Cannons
Cannons are ranged artillery pieces mainly used to destroy enemy fortifications or target infantry.
Placing & Destroying
To place a cannon, right-click on a 1×3 surface. To destroy a cannon, break the block underneath.
Aiming
- To point the cannon leftwards, do Shift + RClick
- To point a cannon rightwards, do Shift + LClick
- To point a cannon upwards, do LClick
- To point a cannon downwards, do RClick
Loading
To load the cannon, right-click on the cannon with gunpowder pouches 3 times. Then, load your desired projectile (cannonball/cannister shot) by right-clicking at the front of the cannon.
- Cannonball: Can penetrate up to 4 blocks deep, mainly used for enemy fortifications.
- Cannister Shot: Special anti-infantry projectile that spreads like a shotgun but does not destroy any blocks.
Firing
Once you've loaded the cannon with gunpowder pouches and your desired projectile, you can fire it by lighting it up with a flint and steel. You can reload and fire again once the smoke has cleared; the cannon will not fire if the smoke has not cleared.
Ballistas
Ballistas an ancient missile weapons that launched bolts, targeting infantry and dealing heavy damage.
Placing & Destroying
To place a ballista, you can place it anywhere but not next to a siege weapon 3 blocks away. To destroy a ballista, break the block underneath. To mount it, right-click on the ballista, and your cursor will point to the ballista.
Aiming
The ballista you're using will automatically point in the direction your cursor is in, the ballista can only aim 180 degrees from the spot it's placed.
