There's a lot of overlap with boats guide so read that

XP Gain

There are a couple of ways to gain XP for the seaman profession:

1. Fishing with fishing rod
2. Killing fish
3. Riding in boats the farther you sail the more XP, it starts counting distance from when you enter a seat and gives the XP when you dock that ship, it resets if you leave the seat etc
