⚗ The Brewer's Manual
FERMENTING · DISTILLING · AGING · BARRELS
Fermenting ALWAYS REQUIRED
- Place a Cauldron over fire or a heat source
- Fill it with water
- Right-click to add ingredients
- Wait for the recipe's cooking time
- Fill brew into glass bottles
💡 Right-click the cauldron with a Clock to check current fermentation time.
Distilling SPIRITS ONLY
- Put fermented bottles into a Brewing Stand
- Add Glowstone Dust as filter in the top slot
- The filter is never consumed — leave it in permanently
- Each run = 1 distill pass. Spirits need 1 or 2 runs
- Over- or under-distilling degrades quality
⚠️ Each distill pass is one full Brewing Stand cycle. Count carefully — precision matters.
Aging ALWAYS REQUIRED
- Build or place a barrel (see types below)
- Open and place your bottles inside
- Every Minecraft day (20 min) = 1 year of aging
- Some recipes need a specific wood type
- Wrong wood = reduced quality on those recipes
🪵 Recipes that say "Any" work in any barrel. Recipes that list a specific wood (Acacia, Spruce, Birch) REQUIRE that barrel type.

Quality & Sealing OPTIONAL
Quality is hurt by wrong cook time, wrong distill runs, or wrong barrel wood.
To sell via shop plugins, craft a Brew Sealing Table (2 bottles over 4 planks) and seal each batch. Sealed brews can no longer age.
